Himalaya Biking in India

The Himalayan range of India encloses some of the best biking tracks. Himalaya offers some unbeaten tracks and not so visited paths for enthusiasts of biking.

The mountain biking definitely require physical and mental fitness to coup with challenges, faces during biking in rough mountain routes of Indian.

The balance over the bike is must; a good balance helps you to climb steep pitches of the track.

You should have mastering over the control of the bike and speed control is another thing which should keep in mind during drive on the Indian mountain regions.

There are few precautionary details, which need to keep in mind during biking in Himalaya. Your front brake should be under control while getting downhill because it is more efficient than the rear brake.

Grip the bike firmly not too tight, concentrate your eyes on track only, and keep your bike straight, at about 45 degree from the ground surface.

Before start the biking you should have a complete riding kit, for safe and enjoyable ride on your favorite bike. Always remember you should have a complete first aid box and basic bike repair kit.

Must have items for short riding trips include wrenches for all the bolts and nuts on the bike, pump, tyre levers, patch kit, tubes, crescent wrench, chain tool, duct tape, zip ties and a small first aid kit.

If you are going for long rides, always add up things such as food and water, cables, brake pads, a bigger first aid kit, spare spokes, crank remover, and extra clothing. To carry all these items, you should use jersey pockets or bike bags.

In India the best season to go for biking experience lies between the months of October and December. During this season the weather becomes very pleasant. The major biking tracks in Himalaya are Trans Himalayan tracks of Lahual, Spiti and Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh; Garhwal and Kumaon in Uttaranchal; Ladakh and Kashmir, Sikkim, and Northeastern states of India.
