The Royal Nepal Airlines started with a very small aircraft and now have seven aircrafts in its fleet. When looking at the history the arrival of Boeing 727 made historical changes in the nation’s people aviation dreams.
Now it has two Boeing 757 – 200s and five DHC-6 Twin Otters in its fleet. At present Royal Nepal Airlines have operations as far as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Osaka, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.
This is a great leap compared to the country of this size and its socioeconomic situations. Today Royal Nepal Airlines cover s many as 30 destinations with in Nepal.
Royal Nepal Airlines serving India at different destinations like Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. Having Thribhuvan international Airport, Katmandu as the hub Nepal Airlines serve over 38 destinations of which seven are international destinations.
Though the air travel demands increase Royal Nepal Airlines could not able to coop up with the demand. Recent market reviews revealed that air passenger movement in Nepal had seen a growth of more than 10% per annum in the recent years and the growth is expected to remain for some years to come.
However, the markets share of NAC dropped by almost 50% in the past five Years. This leads the National career Royal Nepal Airlines planning to get as many as six new jet aircraft soon and with this it has plans to increase its national and international presence.
Recently because of the political changes in the small country the name of this national career has been changed to Nepal Airlines. But the great service offered by this Airline never changed.
Nepal Airlines having offices in few international destinations like Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi and Hong Kong. It continues to serve the passengers from those areas also.
Apart from domestic and International passenger services, Royal Nepal Airline also offers mountain flight services to tourists. As Nepal being a country covered by land on all the sides a lot of export and import are moved with its cargo division.
