Arunachal Pradesh achieved its statehood on February 1987. It extends from snow-capped mountains in the north extends to the plains of the Brahmaputra valley which is in the south.
Arunachal is the chief state area-wise in the north-east region, even bigger than Assam which is the most densed region.
Districts of Arunachal Pradesh are Tawang, Papumpare, Upper Subansiri, Upper Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Changlang, Tirap, Lohit, Kurung Kumey.
The famous Buddhist Temples are new, but stunning, yellow-roofed shrines, it mounts in maintained landscapes following a stupa hosting the portrait of a monk. At a side is a tree planted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The landscapes of the temple afford a good and exclusive view of Itanagar town.
The 5 km drive to the Ganga Sekhi Lake from Itanagar hosts visitors on a rocky road through some fantastically ancient jungles: bamboo, orchids massed on high trees, tree-ferns are some of the vegetation which can be branded by the interested traveler.
