Tinsukia is a city in Tinsukia district located in the Indian North Eastern State of Assam.
The name of this place is derived from the lake- Tinkunia Pukhuri which means the lake with three sides and is nestled at the heart of the town.
This city is well connected to all other cities in the north east and at present it has the biggest railway station in Assam.
