City Map of Ranchi - Bihar
Known as the city of falls and forest, Ranchi is the capital city of the Jharkand state and is an important centre of tourism.
It is close to the beautiful wildlife reserves of the Chota Nagpur plateau, which is home to tigers, elephants and leopards.
Once the center of the Jharkand movement for a separate state for South Bihar's tribal regions, the city was formed by carving out the districts Chota Nagpur and Santhal Parganas in 2000. Bihar's picturesque and idyllic attractions, sterile rock formations, gentle waterfalls and small, solemn hills once made it Bihar's summer capital during the time of the British Raj.
