Road Map of Bihar
Bordered by Nepal to the north, West Bengal State to the east, Uttar Pradesh to the west and Jharkand state to the south, Bihar is subjugated by a largely agricultural area of the Gangetic plain and is criss-crossed by the River Ganges and its offshoots. South of the plain is the Chota Nagpur plateau.
Bihar has and area of approximately 99,199 square miles and is serviced by 2,118 kilometers of national highways, 4,192 kilometers of state highways, 69,000 kilometers of other roads and 12,526 kilometers of district roads.
On its South is an extensive network of roads linking the state's major industrial locations. The northern region needs a network of quality roads to realize the vast potential it possesses for industry and business development. |
