Edwin Landseer Lutyens was instrumental in the Indo-Saracenic lay-out and building of New Delhi and was solely responsible for the design of the Connaught Place which is an up-to-date shopping market.
New Delhi is considered by many to be an upscale metropolis complete with recreational facilities and fabulous tourist destinations. Although it has all the amenities and comforts of home, it is its old world aura that lures visitors in year after year. |
