The National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) is a particular Union Territory of India. The territory holds in place three census towns: New Delhi, Delhi and Delhi Cantonment, along with over 214 villages.
Laying over the earth at over 1483 sq. km. of land. India's present capital is New Delhi; the biggest city is Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay).
The distinct feature of forests, plains, hills, and mountains of India are inhabited by a broad variety of fauna.
Due to the abundance of water and rich alluvial soil, the northern plains is the most fertile and densely populated area of the republic. Delhi has a semi-arid climate with obvious variations between summer and winter temperatures.
Delhi's nearness to the Himalayas is attributed for icy waves from the Himalayan region and shadow temperatures across Delhi. Refreshing summers are long, running from early April till October, with the monsoon season in between. The city is best visited during the months, February to April and from August to November due to its very pleasant climate.
