State Maps of India
India is one of the most ancient cultures in the
world, with a kaleidoscopic variety of culture and its rich heritage.
India, through their respective State/UT Government, administers
604 Districts. Subsequently, the districts are subdivided
into sub-divisions and tehsils or talukas (the later title a little
more common across the four states of south India).
Taluks are broken into Firhas. Firkas are then generally subdivided
into revenue villages, then these revenue villages are again subdivided
into villages.
Twenty eight states and seven Union Territories are laid out to
comprise the length and breadth of the country, noted by its diversity
in culture and geography but bound together by a common chord of
inspiring nationalism.
