Visa INformation
The Embassy endeavors
to expeditiously issue visas to Czech citizens desirous of visiting
India for purposes of business and tourism. Visa applications are
received between 0915 - 1200 hrs. Our visa processing time does
take into account Czech visa issue practices. Certain categories
of visas, such as for research and employment, require reference
to India and naturally, there is a longer processing period.
The Embassy accepts applications from such nationals, who are required
to fill the same form as Czech nationals. However, reference to
their home country is a mandatory requirement. Visa fees are charged
on reciprocal basis and details may be ascertained directly from
the Consular Assistant
Registration requirement for all foreigners: Registration
with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office required within
14 days of arrival in India for visas valid for more than 180 days.
Failure to do so will entail payment of penal fee of US$ 30.00 (US
Dollars thirty)
Multiple entry visas: The Embassy is responsive to the need
of those who may for professional reasons be required to visit India
regularly. Multiple entry visas are made available only if need
can be clearly demonstrated.
Indian citizens visiting Czech Republic: Czech visa practices
tend to be relatively more restrictive. Most visitors are asked
by Czech Missions abroad to produce an invitation as they file their
visa applications. It is also difficult to obtain visas for the
Czech Republic in third countries. The Embassy remains ready to
provide information and assistance in facilitating Indian travelers;
particularly those who wish to investigate business opportunities
in the Czech Republic. There are however limitations, which we expect
Indian visitors to take into account.
Indian visitors staying for more than 72 hours in Czech Republic
are required to register with 'Foreign and Border Police of the
Czech Republic (Address: Olsanska 2, Prague 3), in person. Passports
of the visitors will be stamped by the authorities, and there is
no fee for this service.
Registration of Indian nationals: All Indian nationals resident/newly
arriving in Czech Republic are advised to register themselves with
the Embassy of India. This will facilitate better interaction with
the Embassy and would also prove useful in rendering faster consular
services.
