Visa Rules:

(a) 3 months validity visas have been done away. Now onward all visas will be valid minimum for a period of 6 months starting from the date of issue.

The visa fee for 6 months validity visas will be L.E. 102/- for all nationals except US passport holders who will pay LE 70/- in addition to regular visa fee as processing charges.

(b) Businessmen and frequent travelers can apply for Jumbo passport booklets containing 60 pages. The rates are as follow:-
Ordinary passport containing 60 pages valid for ten years LE 108/-
Ordinary passport containing 60 pages valid for 20 years LE 189/-
Any service requiring issue of ordinary passport containing 60 pages LE 108/-

Visa Information

Persons interested in applying for visa to visit India are required to fill out an Application Form, available at the office, giving all the information asked for in the application. The application must be supported by the applicant's passport and two recent passport-size photographs and any other documents mentioned in the succeeding paragraphs.

The application should preferably be submitted in person but can be submitted by others also on behalf of the applicant. When considered necessary, applicants can be asked to present themselves at the Consular Section, for personal interview. Visas are normally issued and passports returned the following day between 08.30 AM and 12.00 PM.

Foreigners, who are not Egyptians and permanent residents in Egypt, have to wait up to three days before they are granted visas.

Visa Fee
