Business Visa
i) Completed application form
ii) Two recent photographs (passport size)

iv) a letter of guarantee and recommendation from
the Japanese company concerned, and invitation letter from India.
v) Visa fee : Yen 1,200 (flat rate)
Employment Visa :
i) Completed application form (Two sets)
ii) Two recent photographs (passport size)
iii) Passport valid for a minimum of six months
iv) Curriculum Vitae
v) Letter of Guarantee by the concerned Japanese
company
vi) Copy of terms and conditions of employment
from the company based in India
vii) Approval of the Reserve Bank of India/Ministry
of Industry, Government of India, regarding the opening of a new
office/business or the continuing the office/business
Student Visa
i) Completed application form (Two sets)
ii) Two recent photographs (passport size)
iii) Passport valid for a minimum six months
iv) Confirmation letter of admission from University/School/Institute
recognised by the Government of India/State Government.
v) Proof of sufficient financial resources for
meeting the expenses during course.
Transit Visa
The fee for transit visa is Yen 150 for the Japanese. It
is for entry into India within 3 months of the date of issue of
visa. The period of transit should not exceed 15 days. A two-way
transit visa valid for stay not exceeding 15 days on each visit
can also be granted. Applicant should get an entry permit or visa
to the country of destination and then only apply for transit visa
to India.
General Information for Applicants;
1) The time for processing the visa application and date
of delivery of documents ( passport and visa) maybe delayed due
to official holidays in the Embassy of India, Tokyo, or due to some
other genuine reasons. Applicants are requested in advance that
they may have to bear with the visa issuing section in such circumstances
as stated above. Efforts will, however, be made to issue visa on
time.
2) Applicants may sometimes be requested by the visa issuing
authorities for an interview or a meeting. Full cooperation is required
from the applicants in this regard.
3) Submission of visa application form and acceptance by
the Consular Section does not imply that the applicant will certainly
get a visa.
4) All kinds of visa fees collected from the applicant will
not be returned even if the applicant withdraws his/her application
or visa is not granted.
5) Those who make queries through E-mail or by fax message
may always mention their fax number and telephone / mobile numbers
to facilitate replies from the Consular Section.
