Just like the rest of India, the main transport systems in Haryana are the roads and railway systems. Being one of India's prosperous states, is well linked on the rail network.
This aids the state in keeping its economy on top and compete with the others that are also starting to bank on other industries.
An existing proposal to provide rail corridors connecting towns around Delhi, linking the major satellite towns like Gurgaon, Faridabad, Kundli, Bahadurargh and others is already under the National Capital Region (NCR) scheme.
In the same way, there is also a proposal to provide fast mass transportation system between Delhi and the said satellite towns.
The main railway routes passing through Haryana are Amritsar to Delhi, Rewari to Amhedabad, Bhiwani to Rohtak-Delhi, Ambala to Ferozepur, Delhi-Ferozepur, Kalka to Jodhpur, Kalka to Howrah, Amritsar to Howra and Delhi to Shimla. Shall these proposals be realized, the Indian railways will definitely stand to its name of being one of the world's busiest networks.
