Agra, an Indian city is well known for famous monument
Taj Mahal, which is among the modern seven wonders of the earth.
Only due to Taj Mahal Agra is the single most famous tourist destination
of India. The Agra city is situated on the west bank of holy river
Yamuna and only 204 kilometers from the India’s national capital,
New Delhi. The historical city Agra was established by the Mughal
Emperor Akbar as his capital city, later he shifted his capital
to the Delhi. But the grandson of Akbar, Sahajahan again established
Agra as Cpital city of India and built a symbol of love, Taj Mahal
in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. In the late 16th
and early 17th century many architectural monuments built in Agra
and some of them are Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, Radha Swami Samadhi,
Agra Fort and Jahan Gir Mahal. These are the main reasons which
make Agra a potential tourist destination in the map of world tourism.
