Haridwar is a land of God, the land of spirituality
and the land of saints. The ancient city is one of the twelve most
scared places of Hindu religion. It is to believe Haridwar is among
the seven cities touched by the God. This is a place where you can
find the devotees of God through out the year. It is one of the
four cities (along with Ujjain, Allahabad and Nasik) where world’s
biggest religious fair held in every twelve years. There are various
temples and religious places of Hindus those have a great respect
and devotional importance. Haridwar is located in the foot hills
of Himalaya in an Indian state of Uttrakhand. Some popular places
to visit in Haridwar are Hir-ki pauri, Mansa Devi Temple, Chandidevi
Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Gurukul Kangri University and Bharat
Mata Temple. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant (Dehradun) and the
town is very well connected with other parts of the country through
rail and Road transport.
