Hastinapur is a historical town located at Meerut district
in Uttar Pradesh, India. Hastinapur is situated only 37 kilometers
from the Meerut and 110 kilometers from the national capital New
Delhi. Hastinapur was founded by the King Hastin, it is to believe
that Hastinapur was the capital of Pandavas (Great heroes of epic
Mahabharata). Hastinapur has a great importance in Jainism and consider
as Kashi of Jain religion. It is to believe that this is a place
where king Shreyans donated ‘Ikshuras’ to Rishabhdev
(first Jain Tirthankar). Tourist can find some very respected and
artistic temples and stops. These temples and stoops where founded
by different Jain achayas (teachers) in different time like Shwetamber
and Digamber Temples. The ancient Pandeshwar Temple (devoted to
the Lord Shiva) also a place of worship and visit. Hastinapur National
Park is a wonderful place for wildlife lovers. There you can see
various species and migrated birds during winter season.
