Pushkar is a holy place, set in a valley just about
14 kilometers from the Ajmer in the northern state of Rajasthan.
Pushkar is a city of temples of all size and it is to say that the
only temple of Lord Brahma is located in the land of Pushkar. The
city is surrounded by hills on three sides and city also houses
a beautiful lake ‘Braham Tal’. Savitri Temple (dedicated
to the wife of Lord Brahma), numerous ghats (in Pushkar Tal) and
market places are other major attractions of the town. Every year
great number of foreign tourists and domestic tourists visited the
town and many participate in the famous Pushkar fair. Every year
cattle fair also organized in Pushkar, people come across the county
for cattle trading. Pushkar is well connected to the other parts
of the country through road transport. The nearest airport is Jaipur
and railway station is Ajmer.
