The city of Lord Krishna, Mathura is situated on the
western bank of holy River Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh, India. Mathura
is one of the seven most sacred cities in India. It is famous as
the birthplace of Lord Krishna (important deity in Hindu religion).
It is also a major craft center. The Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi (birthplace
of Lord Krishna) is the most scared and famous pilgrimage for the
Hindus. A stone slab marks the original spot of the birth of Lord
Krishna. According to believe, Lord Krishna was born in a small
prison where his parents held by the tyrant king Kansa. Ranghbhoomi
is place where to believe that Krishna killed Kansa. Kansa’s
fort stood on the bank of river Yamuna. Vishram Ghat is most important
bathing ghat in Mathura (according to say, Krishna took rest (Vishram)
after killing Kansa. Archaeological Museum is another attraction
for the visitors. The museum houses rare collection of sculptures
belonging to ancient time. Mathura is easily access from the other
parts of country through train and bus services.
