Karnataka, the lofty land, boasts of a landscape that is varied, with a beautiful coast, flatland plains and a lot of mountains.
Dotted with hill stations, beach resorts and architectural excavations, the state is a great vista for tourists with every kind of interest. The two attractive wildlife parks here are Nagarhole and Bandipur.
The two may be separate units but are part of a larger neighboring wildlife reserve namely the Mudumalai Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu and the Wynad Reserve in Kerala. Bandipur National Park meanwhile, is a Tiger Reserve with open grassy woodland lying on the south of the Kabini River.
