The city is very famous for its abundant forests, military tribes and Buddhist monasteries. The city also experience snowfall in the months from December to February. The best time to visit there is from the month of October to March. The nearest point from where it can be easily accessed is Guwahati.

Tawang: Located at an altitude of 3000 meters, this city boasts with the largest Buddhist monastery that is about 400 years of age. Enclosed with green forest mountains that are covered with snow, the city is the perfect place for the wanderers.
