Chhattisgarh is a newly created state of the Indian union. Earlier, it was a part of Madhya Pradesh and in ancient times, the region was famous as Southern Kosal. Bilaspur: Located on the picturesque banks of River Arpa, the city is approximately 400-year-old. There are a number of tourist spots in the city, like Kanan Pendari, Sai Mangalam, Marimai Mandir Vivekanand Park, Kali Mandir, and Shree Ayappa Swami Mandir.

Raigarh: Lying in the east part of the state this district is the most fastly developing town in Chhattisgarh. It is situated 134 km away from district Bilaspur.
