Kawardha: This small isolated town, near the Maikal hill range has a magical quality about it. It is rich in natural heritage and ethnic tribal culture. The regal Kawardha Palace is a beautiful relic of the grand Indian royalty.
Chitrakote Falls: The picturesque and breath-taking, horseshoe shaped waterfalls are located in the heart of the Bastar forest. Famous as India’s Niagara Falls, it flows down from the great height of 100 feet.
Kanker: An ancient town, still holding up its thousand-year-old legacy of natural and cultural heritage. The oft-frequented Kanker Palace has some rare antiques, which present a flashing glimpse of the royal India.
Bastar: One of the most prominent eco-tourism hotspots of the country, this lush green tribal area boasts of wild adventurous forests, waterfalls, ancient temples and a vibrant tribal culture.

Bhoramdeo Temple: Fringed by dense forests and the Maikal Mountains, the Bhoramdeo temple is renowned for its exquisitely carved erotic sculptures. It is known as the ‘Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh’ in the region.
Chamaparan: A small town of great religious importance, this was the place of birth of the legendary Saint Vallabhacharya, the founder of the Vallabh sect. An annual fair is organised here in the month of January to February to pay homage to the saint.
Seorinarayan: Associated with the myths and legends of the epic Ramayana, the temple has great religious significance, like the Lord Jagannathatemple at Puri.
These are just a few of the many places to visit at Chhattisgarh. There are many other sites like the three National Parks and eleven Wildlife Sanctuaries that offer you an unprecedented glimpse of the natural heritage of the region. The most important amongst these are Indrawati National Park, Kanger Ghati National Park and Achanakmar Sanctuary.
