Jwalaji Temple
This temple is located in kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and it is one of the famous fifty-one Shakti Peeths located in various parts of India. This temple is holiest and most spiritual temple in Himachal Pradesh.
In mythology it is famous about this temple that when parents of Goddess Sati insulted her consort Lord Shiva then she killed herself. Lord Shiva got rage at this and carrying body of Goddess Sati he began roaming in entire universe. Afterwards Lord Vishnu severed body of Sati into different pieces by his volley of arrows to calm down the anger of lord Shiva.
The fifty one parts of her body fell on different places and consequently at every place one sacred shaktipeeths temple was built. It is believed that tongue of Sati fell at this place where Jwalaji Temple was built. Holy flame in temple represents the tongue of Goddess Sati. |
Himachal State Museum
Situated near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, every year a number of tourists visit this place to see the huge collection of coins, picturesque photographs of Himachal Pradesh and good work of handicrafts. Pin Valley National Park
Surrounded by Rupi Bhaba Sanctuary in the south and Himachal National Park in the southwest, Pin Valley National Park is famous for its Dry Alpine Forests and Dwarf Juniper Scrub jungle. Here Betula utilis i.e Bhojpatra, Populas, Himalayan Cedar, Salix Spp and Juniperus mecropoda trees are found in abundance. This park is the home place of snow Leopard and Siberian Ibex. Apart from it Pin Valley Park is famous for Rock Pigeon, blue sheep, bear, Ibex, wolf, Ptridge, snow cock and Marmot.
