Gulmarg: Situated at an altitude 2730 meters, in district Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, the topography of this place is very gently inclined. This city lies very near to the Indo-Pak border and is elegantly located in a pine basin of Pir Panjal mountain range. Popularly known as meadow of flowers, it has a pleasant sight of colorful flowers blossoming all around with changing colors as there is a change in the season.
Jammu: Ranked second biggest city in the state, and called the temple city, Jammu is the central point for the tourists on a tour of northern India to Kashmir. Being a plain region of the state, it is very hot as compared to the cool region of Kashmir during the summers. Known as winter capital, it is the main center for trade in the state.
Leh: Situated between the beautiful and grand mountains that slowly merge with the haven of green colored fields, Leh is located at an altitude of 11,000 feet. It is the capital city of Leh and Ladakh. |
