Khajuraho airport is easiest to reach Madhya Pradesh as it is directly linked with Delhi, Agra and Varanasi. For getting at Bandhavgarh city, Jabalpur airport is the most convenient route which is connected from Delhi to Khajuraho.

Regular flights from Delhi, Gwalior, Indore and Mumbai fly for Bhopal. Bhopal airport is situated 12 km away from the old city. Flight for Indore is operated everyday by Air Deccan Airlines and Sahara Airlines from Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal and few other cities of India.

Transport by Rail

Bhopal is the central railway station in Madhya Pradesh. It is situated near Hamidia road. All the prime trains for Bombay to Delhi make its way via Jhansi and Itarasi. It is connected to all parts of country. Other cities of state also has good rail track connected to rest of the cities in Madhya Pradesh.

For visiting to Bandhavgarh nearest railway station is Jabalpur, Katni, Satna and Umaria.  Gwalior is connected with other cities through Jabalpur railway station. In Western side of Madhya Pradesh, Indore railway station is located. Direct trains from Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jammu, Patna, Nagpur and Delhi are operated for Indore. So from all these places you can get into Madhya Pradesh.

Transport by Road
A wide network of National Highways and State Highways is extended in whole state which connects Madhya Pradesh with rest parts of country. Buses operated by State Corporation are run regularly between Indore and other cities like Bhopal, Ujjain and Gwalior. All buses from Agra to Bombay national highway (NH3) make its route via Indore. Gwalior is connected by road with Jabalpur, Seoni and Nagpur.

You can also hire taxis from various cities of Madhya Pradesh for visiting tourist places in state. Regular private and state owned buses from Bhopal are available for all cities in Madhya Pradesh and also for neighboring states.
