3 hours to get here. If you are coming from Kolkata to Imphal then it will take around one hour. Guwahati is very close to Imphal and takes hardly 50 minutes in getting here and direct flight from Aizawl to Imphal takes app.30 minutes.

Transport by Rail

Manipur is not well connected with other parts of country via railway network. The nearest railway juncture to reach this state is Silchar in Assam.  Apart from it, situated at the edge of north east part of Nagaland, Dimapur is another nearby rail juncture to reach Manipur. Imphal, the capital city of state is only 215 kms away from Nagaland.

Once you reach Nagaland by train, you can hire either taxi or get into bus to reach Manipur and within nine to ten hours you will be in the city.

Hence if you want to reach Manipur then trains are available up to Guwahati, Silchar, Kohima and Dimapur and from there you can take road services to get into Manipur.

Manipur is well connected with all parts of country through a good network of national and state highways. Imphal Airport is seven km away from main city and tourist taxis, mini buses, auto rickshaws can be found from nearby place called Mahatma Gandhi Road to visit inside the state.
