The entire Meghalaya is very beautiful. You can feel a kind of peace and solace in the natural beauty of the state. The whole state is tourist attraction but there are some important destinations which must be visited during your tour.

Sohpetbneng Peak: - According to Khasi mythology this peak is also known as ‘Navel of Heaven’. The scenic beauty of the hill with the green forest includes it in the top list of every tourist visiting Meghalaya.

Shillong Peak: - This peak is the highest point of the state. Shillong peak is approximately ten kilometers away from the Shillong city.The peak gives an exotic overview of the Shillong City.  In every spring religious priests gather at the sanctum of the peak to pay tribute to U Shulong.


Caves: -
The hills of Meghalaya are occupied with many natural caves. Some important caves are Krem Mawmluh, Mawsmai and Siju-Dobkhakol. Experience the thrill and adventure of exploring these mysterious natural caves.

Elephant Falls: - You can enjoy small or big falls everywhere in the state, but Elephant Falls has its own importance. It is situated on the border of the Shillong city.  The natural stream from the hills flows down to two consecutive falls, which are set in the valley of rocks covered by the local fauna.

Wards Lake: - The Lake is situated at the center of the Shillong city. The rolling flowerbeds and the lake boating attracts tourist. There is a beautiful arched bridge over the lake. The reflection of the bridge and the flowers in the lake gives a breathtaking scenic view.


Nartiang: -
This place has a historical importance. It is sixty five kilometers away from Shillong city. You can see the remnants of the Jaintia King Dynasty and Five hundred years old Durga Temple.

National Parks: - Meghalaya is also famous for the Balpakram National Park and the Nokrek National Park. They are the major tourist attractions best known for dense forest and bio diversity.
