By Rail

And if you want to travel Sikkim by rail, then New Jalpaiguri (approx.125 km) and Siliguri (144 km) are the nearest railway stations from Gangtok. All of these railway stations are liked to Delhi, Calcutta, Guwahati, and other major cities in India.

By Road

Gangtok is linked by road to Kalimpong Darjeeling and Siliguri. Luxury coaches, cars and jeeps can also be availed for hire in the town. You are also provided with regular bus services operated by the Sikkim Nationalized Transport.

So, if you want to see nature dancing with the wildlife, Sikkim is a must see place. Here you not just have the pleasure of living in the lap of nature, but come in touch with the intact and unspoilt natural beauty lying all around. Though the road between Gangtok and Siliguri are the busiest route but the existence of airport in Bagdogra that lies at a distance of 124 km from Gangtok can make your journey pleasurable away from the hodgepodge or mishmash of road.
