It is one of the fastest developing cities of India. The sites of the city are Bada Immambara and the Rumi gate. It is also known for its rich Awadhi cuisine. Lucknow has witnessed steady progress in the field of information technology and real estate. Lucknow is well-connected with roads, rail and air ways.

Allahabad

Allahabad was the ancient capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is known as the sacred city for the confluence of the three rivers—Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is also known as Prayag, Sangam and Triveni. The Sangam is visited by the tourists of the world.

Kanpur

Agra

Agra, the ancient capital of Moghul emperor, Akbar, is a city of ancient monuments. It is 200 km away from Delhi, the national capital of India. The Indian Airlines serves service from Delhi to Agra. The Shatabdi and Taj Express also provide service fro Delhi to Agra.  It is situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. The famous tourist attractions of Agra are Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort, Jama Masjid, Ram Bagh, and Akbar’s Tomb etc. The monuments of Agra bear the glorious rule of Moghul Empire.

 Varanasi

Varanasi is the religious and cultural hub of northern India.  It is the heart centre of the classical poets, philosophers and musicians. The city of Varanasi is famous for the Kashi Viswanath temple, Banaras University and so many temples of Hindu. It is a sacred city for the Hindus. Varanasi is also related to the religions of Buddhism and Jainism. The Hindu mythologies say that Lord Shiva lived here. Buddha first gave his sermon at Sarnath which is situated near Varanasi.

The other holy cities of Uttar Pradesh are Mathura and Vrindavan and recently developed industrial cities are Ghaziabad and Noida.
