Tripura's capital Agartala, is home to the mesmerizing Royal House. Constructed by the Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in the early 2oth century, the palace is closed in by carved doors and has a base of tiles.
Also known as the Ujjayant Palace, the Mughal style building is now a State Legislative Assembly. The temple of Chaturdasa Devata meanwhile mirrors a Bengali architectural style. Dedicated to 14 gods and goddesses, the temple also has a Buddhist type stupa crowning it.
Here, the fairytale castle of the Neer Mahal is situated. This water palace is built in Rudrasagar Lake. Other prominent places in the state include, Pilak, Udaipur and many others.
