Uttar Pradesh is considered the holiest land of the Himalayas. It has an area of 294,411 square kilometers.
This is a land of cultural and geographical diversity. Different tourist attractions can be found here in the form of mountain peaks, a collection of ancient temples, monuments, sparkling rivers like the Ghāghara River, Yamuna River and Gumti River, and captivating valleys.
The place's main architectural features are the fort and a mausoleum. The infamous Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri are situated in Uttar Pradesh.
Another great attraction in the land is the Corbett National Park. It is the oldest national park in India, established way back in 1936. It has an area of 525 square kilometers (202 square miles) extending into Uttaranchal.
It houses numerous rare animals and endangered species like the Indian tigers, gavials, elephants, hyenas, jackals, bears, a number of species of deer and monkey and more than 600 species of birds.
